# Collagen, skin and GHK-Cu: the reading list

> The Nest Aesthetics reading list — The Nest Aesthetics reading list: published GHK-Cu and GHK research on collagen, skin penetration, tissue remodeling, gene data and a combination hair trial.

**Reading list**

The experiments and reviews that carry the arguments in these essays.

## Starting points

For the cellular starting point, the [human fibroblast collagen experiment](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3169264/) would be my first stop. The [tissue-remodeling review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18644225/) widens the account to repair across the work it reviews.

The [review of topical GHK](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11830136/) addresses the delivery problem. Beside it sits the [human skin penetration experiment](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3016279/), where copper was measured in skin outside the body.

For a controlled human experiment, there is the [combination hair trial](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4969472/). The [gene-data review](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6073405/) moves to a much wider scale, and rewards attention to the threshold attached to its headline figure.
